This poster presents a single-center study from Policlinico Sant’Orsola Bologna, Italy, analyzing the evolution of DCD donor liver transplantation from 2016 to 2023. Recipients were categorized into two eras: 2016–2021 and post-2021. The study found that increased experience allowed the center to utilize more marginal and older DCD donors as well as higher-risk recipients, while maintaining consistent graft function, patient survival rates, and comparable surgical complication rates across eras. More extended criteria donors (ECD) and older donors were used in recent years, yet overall outcomes remained favorable despite a higher Liver Transplant Risk Score and EuroTransplant Donor Risk Index observed in the later era.
