The HOPE Iberia Conference 2024 in Madrid was a regional scientific event gathering Spanish and Portuguese transplant professionals to discuss advances in hypothermic oxygenated perfusion (HOPE) for organ preservation and transplantation. The conference featured data-driven lectures and interactive panels on clinical outcomes of liver transplants using HOPE, technical and regulatory updates, viability assessment protocols, and expanded donor criteria including DCD and ECD livers. The collaborative nature of the event fostered multicenter data sharing and strengthened the Iberian network for liver transplantation research, highlighting clinical adoption of HOPE techniques and best practices for improving graft survival and patient outcomes.
